Our History

In 2003 Larry Rodgers recognized a growing demand for directional drilling to provide underground utility placement including power, cable, gas and water services, as well as telephone, television, and high-speed internet fiber.  Larry established East AL Underground, LLC at that time.

Directional boring eliminates the need of disrupting the ground surface of new and existing areas, maintaining the integrity and beauty of all areas, from the downtown city street to the expanse of our country roads. This service is less expensive than other placement methods, and less aerial service means less damage from wind, storms, rain, snow, and other unavoidable service interruptions.

In 2011, the business incorporated and the work continued under HDD, Inc. Today, HDD, Inc. has 19 full time employees, and we expect to grow that number by 10% within the next 12 months.
